Disclosed are compounds represented by Fomula (I), (II), (III) and (V), or pharmaceutically acceptable prodrugs, salts, hydrates, solvates, crystal forms or diastereomers thereof wherein the substituents are listed in the specification. These compounds can be used in the manufacture of a medicament for modulating microtubule polymerisation and in the treatment of associated disease states.
