The present invention includes methods and equipment for detecting in a quick manner an infection caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis in a sample of cerebrospinal liquid. The present invention provides a method for testing the viability of M. tuberculosis without spreading said microorganism. The invention also includes initiators and probes for amplifying DNA of cerebrospinal liquid samples.
