<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a metal catalyst carrier, which can prevent a displacement of a brazing material to an outer cylinder in spite of a reception shape of a honeycomb body to the outer cylinder, and can prevent occurrences of defective products. <P>SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the metal catalyst carrier 1 includes providing the honeycomb body 2 formed by multiply-winding while overlapping a waved metal foil 4 and a tabular metal foil 5, and the tubular outer cylinder 3 housing the honeycomb body 2, and joining the outer periphery of the honeycomb body 2 and the inner periphery of the outer cylinder 3 by melting the brazing material 7 provided between the outer periphery of the honeycomb body 2 and the inner periphery of the outer cylinder 3.
