<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for aerating an aquarium, by utilizing effluent from an external filtering machine without using any air pump. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The device works as follows: The drain water hose of an external filtering machine is connected to D1; effluent runs from D1 to D2, and drained together with air via D3; in this case, the inside of the D2 is narrower than a pipe, resulting in vigorously drained; at the same time, the flank of the D2 is provided with air holes E4, making water surface near an upper part inside the D3 pipe; vigorously drained water onto the water surface is drained into the aquarium together with innumerable bubbles via holes E5 while taking in air; thereby, the aquarium can be aerated without using any air pump.
