PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a supporting jaw structure which can be applicable for both right side and left side bending. SOLUTION: The structure includes two supporting jaws 11, 12 which are arranged on both sides of the longitudinal axis of a work 2, and a forming groove 28. The supporting jaws 11, 12 are fixed to supporting brackets 15, 16 on holders 13, 14 respectively. The brackets are guided movably in the longitudinal direction on guide blocks 19, 20, and can move from initial point where the brackets are pulled into the work transport direction parallel to the work 2, to the end point in the extension of the work transport direction by respective driving devices 23, 24. The supporting jaws 11, 12 are laterally slidable and support the work within a range from a tangentially entering point into a forming groove 9 of a bending disk 7 to a designated distance point ahead of the entering point respectively. When one of the supporting jaws is placed at the extension end point, the other supporting jaw comes to the initial point where it has been pulled in. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
