<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wastewater treatment method which enables the stable decomposition of fluorophosphate compounds in wastewater. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The wastewater treatment method is employed to decompose the fluorophosphate compounds in the wastewater to reduce the concentrations of fluorine and phosphorus, and includes the process for adjusting the temperature of the wastewater to 65-85°C while adding sulfuric acid to the wastewater so that the concentration of the sulfuric acid becomes 10-20 wt.%, the process for maintaining the wastewater within the above temperature range, and the process for adding a calcium compound to the wastewater.
