<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shelf board having a multi-function to adjust the width (the depth) according to the width of a book or the like to be placed or stored, and a bookshelf using the same. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This shelf board includes: a horizontal plate 21 having a top face plate 22, a bottom face plate 23 and a plurality of ribs 24 connecting both plates to each other and made of aluminum extruded shape; at least one recessed groove 25 provided in the longitudinal direction of the top face plate 22; a substantially C-shaped fitting groove 26 provided in the longitudinal direction of a rear wall; a partition fitting part 28 provided in the longitudinal direction at the substantially central area in the width direction of the bottom face plate 23; substantially semi-circular support grooves 29a, 29b provided in the longitudinal direction at both sides of the fitting part 28; a plurality of screw-in holes 27a-27c provided on the ribs 24 between the top face plate 22 and the bottom face plate 23; and stoppers 31, 41 for setting the depth of the horizontal plate 21.
