PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve smooth sifting operation of a continuously variable transmission by using a shifting pump. SOLUTION: The shifting pump 62 is provided between a primary pressure passage 54 and a secondary pressure passage 55. The shifting pump 62 force-feeds operating fluid from the secondary pressure passage 55 to the primary pressure passage 54, and force-feeds the operating fluid from the primary pressure passage 54 to the secondary pressure passage 55. An oil passage selector valve 56 is provided between an oil pump 51 and the primary pressure passage 54 and between the oil pump 51 and the secondary pressure passage 55. When force-feeding the operating fluid to the primary pressure passage 54, the oil passage selector valve 56 communicates the oil pump 51 with the secondary pressure passage 55, and when force-feeding the operating fluid to the secondary pressure passage 55, the selector valve 56 communicates the oil pump 51 with the primary pressure passage 54. With this structure, the operating fluid can be circulated from the primary pressure passage 54 and the secondary pressure passage 55 to the oil pump 51 when shifting, and smooth shifting operation is enabled.
