PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rim material for a two wheeler for providing sufficient brilliant performance by the presence of a recrystallization structure layer, even if postprocessing such as finishing buff polishing is applied. SOLUTION: A substantially short cylindrical aluminum rim material is constituted so that a spoke installing part 2 projecting inward in the radial direction D is arranged in a central area in the width direction W of the rim material, and a recrystallization structure layer 13 is formed on a surface of an inner peripheral surface 11 of the rim material, and the thickness T of the recrystallization structure layer 13 of an inner peripheral surface of at least a part 3 and 4 of side area parts 7 and 8 existing on both sides in the width direction relative to the spoke installation part 2, is set larger than a thickness S of the recrystallization structure layer 13 of an inner peripheral surface of the spoke installing part 2.
