<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a service providing system which promotes willingness to buy of a user, and can easily browse album information when a user reproduces a CD by an HDD component stereo. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A store side personal computer 1 generates unique information of a CD on the basis of the fact that the CD is purchased by the user, and records the unique information in an IC chip Ca provided to the CD. Further, this unique information is transmitted to a management server 4 through the Internet 3, and is transmitted to the HDD component stereo 6. The HDD component stereo 6, when music of the CD is reproduced, collates the unique information recorded in the IC chip Ca with the unique information transmitted from the store side personal computer 1, and when they are coincident with each other, transmits the unique information to the management server 4 through the Internet 3. The management server 4 collates the unique information from the store side personal computer 1 and the unique information from the HDD component stereo 6, and when they are coincident with each other, transmits album information about the CD to the HDD component stereo 6 through the Internet 3.
