Provided is the use of a composition comprising nanoparticles comprising a taxane and a carrier protein for the manufacture of a medicament for treating a proliferative disease, wherein said medicament is to be administered to an individual in combination with at least one other chemotherapeutic agent, wherein the other chemotherapeutic agent is selected from the group consisting of an antimetabolite, a platinum-based agent, an alkylating agent, a tyrosine kinase inhibitor, an anthracycline antibiotic, a macrolide, a therapeutic antibody, an antiangiogenic agent, geldanamycin, a geldanamycin derivative and a topoisomerase inhibitor. Further provided are corresponding kits for treatment of proliferative diseases. |
