PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a constant temperature oscillator for improving heat transmission efficiency by heat resistance and promoting low profile to improve packaging density. SOLUTION: The constant temperature crystal oscillator has a crystal leadout terminal for surface mounting in which a crystal piece is housed in a concave container body made of a multilayer ceramic of a bottom wall and a frame wall, a metal cover is bonded on an opening end surface of the container body and the crystal piece is hermetically sealed, wherein other circuit elements for forming an oscillation circuit and a temperature control circuit to be constant temperature type together with the crystal resonator are mounted on a circuit board and the temperature control circuit has at least a heat-generating chip resistor. The crystal oscillator has a structure in which the crystal resonator is inserted into an opening portion provided on the circuit board from the metal cover side, at least the crystal leadout terminal provided on the outer bottom surface of the crystal resonator is electrically connected to a circuit terminal of a substrate surface as an outer periphery of the opening portion of the circuit board, and at least the heat-generating chip resistor 4h is disposed on the bottom wall.
