<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a load in a belt pulley mechanism for driving an auxiliary machine driven by an engine, in a vehicular power steering system. <P>SOLUTION: This vehicular power steering system includes an electric power steering device with an electric motor as a power source, a hydraulic power steering device with a hydraulic pump driven by an engine as the power source, and a belt pulley mechanism driven by the engine and driving the auxiliary machine. The vehicular power steering system includes a load arithmetic operation means (Step S12) for arithmetically operating a supposed load corresponding to an actual load applied to the belt pulley mechanism, and includes a sharing distribution changing means (Step S11 and S13-S18) for changing the sharing distribution of steering assisting force born by the electric power steering device and steering assisting force born by the hydraulic power steering device, for reducing the actual load in response to the supposed load. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
