HYBRID VEHICLE AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress overcharging of an energy storage device generated by delay of command value change delay caused by transmission delay between controllers when rotation speed (number of rotations) of a rotary electric machine changes suddenly, in a hybrid vehicle where a controller for generating an input/output electric power command value of the energy storage device and a controller for controlling an electric power converting device and the rotary electric machine are individually disposed.

SOLUTION: When the rotation speed of a motor generator MG2 changes suddenly or the like, a controller MG-ECU22 for detecting the rotation speed of a motor generator MG2 corrects at least one of drive command values (torque command values) of the motor generators MG1 and MG2 originally set by an HV-ECU21 in response to the sudden change of the rotation speed of the motor generator MG2 without waiting for change of the drive command value from the HV-ECU21.
