<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for raising an exhaust gas temperature for an internal combustion engine capable of raising the exhaust gas temperature efficiently. <P>SOLUTION: In the device for raising the exhaust gas temperature for the internal combustion engine, a combustor 7 for burning fuel and air is arranged by separating it from a path of exhaust gas, and the combustion gas generated in the combustor 7 is introduced into an exhaust pipe 12. Consequently, since the combustion in the combustor 7 is not adversely affected by the exhaust gas, combustion becomes stable.
