<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medium for maintaining the pluripotency of mesenchymal stem cell in which mesenchymal cells can be easily and efficiently cultured while maintaining the pluripotency and amplification potency of mesenchymal stem cells, a culture method of mesenchymal stem cells, mesenchymal stem cells obtained by the culture method, a method for differentiating the mesenchymal stem cells, and osteoblasts and adipose cells obtained by the differentiation method. <P>SOLUTION: The medium for maintaining the pluripotency of the mesenchymal stem cells is a medium that enables maintaining and amplifying the pluripotency of mesenchymal stem cells and characteristically contains TGF-β.
