PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of giving a difference in a waiting time till automatic restoration. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus 4 with an automatic restoration function includes an error detection unit 40 for detecting generation of an error, an error dealing setting unit 42 for setting and holding the waiting time from the generation of the error up to the automatic restoration in every attribute of a user conducting an operation bringing the error, an error analysis verification unit 48 for verifying the generated error with the waiting time, and an error processing unit 50 for executing automatic restoration processing, based on verification results.
