PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the efficiency of a motor by securing the amount of effective magnetic flux. SOLUTION: In a 10-pole/12-slot brushless motor 10, a plurality of teeth 22U1 to 22W2 are arranged one after another in the circumferential direction while changing a first pitch P1 and a second pitch P2 alternately. The motor is configured so that the central angleα°of the first pitch P1 satisfies 360°/n<α≤360°/m, and the central angleα°of the first pitch P1 and the central angleβ°of the second pitch P2 satisfyα+β=360°/n×2, assuming the number of magnetic poles of rotor magnets 14A to 14J in the circumferential direction of the motor to be m and the number of slots to be n. In this configuration, in comparison with the case of the plurality of teeth arranged at equal pitches, the phase differenceΔθbetween the phase of a current I flowing through stator coils 18U1 to 18W2 and the phase of a magnetic fluxϕsupplied to the stator coils from the rotor magnets approaches 90°, thereby the amount of the effective magnetic flux can be secured to improve the efficiency of the motor.
