PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foamed plastic sheet which can maintain a damping effect, compressive strength, heat insulation properties, etc., to some extent especially, even if a cap of one layer in part among caps is broken and a method for manufacturing the sheet in relation to the foamed plastic sheet improved in resilience, heat insulation properties, and compressive strength, and the method for manufacturing the sheet in the foamed plastic sheet in which a cap film with a large number of projections (caps) formed and a back film are joined to each other on its bottom surface. SOLUTION: A second cap film of at least one layer exists between a first cap film and the back film. In the cap, gas layers are sealed between respective layers of the first cap film, the second cap film, and the back film.
