<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a user control a monitoring device regardless of a position relation between a power consuming apparatus and a monitoring device body. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A monitoring device 2 and an information communication terminal 3 are communicatively connected to each other. An information communication terminal 4 responds to the operation of a user, and decodes and transmits the monitoring conditions of the power consuming apparatus 3. A control part 6 of the monitoring device 2 analyzes a signal received by communication equipment 8, and causes a status monitoring part 7 to monitor the operating status of the power consuming apparatus 3 based on the analytic result, and causes a communication part 8 to transmit the signal obtained by decrypting the monitoring result of the status monitoring part 7.
