<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To fully scrape off the toner sticking on the surface of a roller or a belt, and moreover, to facilitate maintenance with less wearing of the roller or the belt. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A cleaning device for cleaning the toner sticking on the surface of a collection roller 66 includes a brush roller 67, that rotates in a direction opposite to the rotating direction of the collection roller 66 that is in contact with the surface of the collection roller 66, at a speed which is lower than the circumferential speed of the collection roller 66.
