<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas-liquid separating device capable of further improving its performance, and being miniaturized and easily incorporated in a refrigerating cycle, with respect to the gas-liquid separating device separating the gas-liquid two phase flow into a gas phase and a liquid phase by utilizing surface tension effect at a narrow space and an abrupt expansion section. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The outline of this gas-liquid separating device for separating the gas-liquid two-phase flow into the gas phase and the liquid phase by utilizing surface tension effect at the narrow space and the abrupt expansion section, is composed of a cylindrical body, upper and lower cover bodies, inlet and outlet pipes and the like. The cylindrical section is provided with a two-phase flow inlet pipe and a gas-phase outlet pipe disposed at central sections of the upper and lower cover bodies, and a liquid phase outlet pipe disposed near the gas phase outlet pipe, and three inlet and outlet pipes are positioned on the same plane. The gas-liquid separating device is mounted at a device side by a mounting tool in a state that the two phase flow inlet pipe is disposed at an upper part in a refrigerating device.
