<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly send out the uppermost paper of a paper bundle loaded on a paper feeding tray one by one. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In this paper feeder, a first duct bracket 40 introduces air supplied from a fan to a first opening part 40c and a second opening part 40d opening toward the end of the paper bundle loaded on the paper feeding tray. A paper sending-out mechanism sends out the uppermost paper of the paper bundle loaded on the paper feeding tray. A first main duct 60 and a first sub-duct 62 are formed inside the first duct bracket 40. The first main duct 60 makes a flow of the air inside by supplying the air from the fan. The first sub-duct 62 is arranged so as to merge with the first main duct 60. The first sub-duct 62 is provided with an air pulling-in hole 50 and an air pulling-in hole 40e for pulling in the air from an external part using the flow of air inside of the first main duct 60.
