<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device that reduces an amount of developer staying in a developer storage chamber and to provide an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The developing section 70 includes: the developer storage chamber 80 storing developer G; an agitating conveyance chamber 84 for agitating and conveying the developer G; and a developing chamber 82 provided with a developing roll 78 that holds the developer G, supplied from the agitating conveyance chamber 84, with magnetic force. Further, the developing section 70 is provided with a partition wall 86 that separates the developer storage chamber 80 and the developing chamber 82, and a second opening 88 is formed in the partition 86. In this case, developer G accumulating in the upper part of the developer storage chamber 80 flows into the developing chamber 82 through the second opening 88 in the course of flowing down to the developing chamber 80. As a result, the developer is less likely to be accumulated in the developer chamber 80 and the amount of developer G staying in the developer storage chamber 80 is reduced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
