<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To light a flash lamp only with an emission quantity within a range used for measurement and obtain a constant light emission quantity, in a solar simulator for evaluating performance of a solar battery module. <P>SOLUTION: This solar simulator has an electric light emission continuous control means 104 and a power absorbing means 103. The electric light emission continuous control means 104 is equipped with one or a plurality of high power elements 141 to be used as a control impedance, and the high power element 141 is continuously controlled so that flash lamp 12 is lighted with a predetermined light emission quantity. The power absorbing means 103 is equipped with a plurality of power absorbing elements 131, operation of the power absorbing element 131 is selected by a switching means 134, and power consumption of the high power element 141 is thereby controlled within a prescribed range. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
