PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner for a vehicle for reducing a feeling of discomfort when an occupant gets in the vehicle by reducing remaining heat accumulated in a vehicle interior in parking or the like. SOLUTION: The air conditioner for the vehicle performs air conditioning in the vehicle interior and ventilates in the vehicle interior by operating a blower motor 8 using generated power of a solar battery 5 and charged power of an on-vehicle battery 1. The air conditioner for the vehicle includes a ventilation control means 43 for switching the solar battery 5 and the on-vehicle battery 1 as a supply source for supplying the power to the blower motor 8. When an IG switch 2 is turned off, the ventilation control means 43 operates the blower motor 8 by switching to the on-vehicle battery 1 as the supply source after the operation of the blower motor 8 with the solar battery 5 as the supply source is terminated so as to ventilate for a predetermined period of ventilation operation time.
