<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithographic printing plate original plate, which records an image using a laser and has excellent stain resistance and developability while maintaining sufficient printing durability, and to provide a plate-making method. <P>SOLUTION: The lithographic printing plate original plate has an image recording layer, which comprises a radical polymerization initiator, a sensitizing dye, a polymerizable compound, a binder polymer with solubility of 0.3 g or more at 25°C per 1 g of 1-methoxy-2-propanol, and a binder polymer with solubility of 0.1 g or less at 25°C per 1 g of 1-methoxy-2-propanol, on a support.
