PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out focus bracket photography, wherein photographing is carried out in a plurality of proper lens positions in consideration of an in-focus position of an object in a wide distance range, to capture an appropriate object image.
SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus comprises an imaging lens 101, a CMOS imaging element 104, and a frequency detector 111 extracting a predetermined frequency component showing an in-focus condition from an output of the CMOS imaging element 104 for control of a focus mechanism of the imaging lens 101. The frequency detector 111 divides a screen into a plurality of subareas for extracting a frequency component for each subarea. The imaging apparatus determines a positional distribution of in-focus positions based on frequency components extracted respectively for each subarea by the frequency detector 111, and carries out focus bracket photography in the in-focus positions with a positional distribution value higher than a threshold value. In order to capture a predetermined number of images in the focus bracket photography, the threshold value is regulated based on a comparison result between the in-focus positional distribution and the threshold value to decide the shooting positions.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
