<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a measuring apparatus and a method for operating the same, capable of easily displaying a set item in a menu fashion about a function which is displayed and explained on a help window. <P>SOLUTION: The measuring apparatus for displaying both a menu to which the set item about the function of the apparatus is assigned, and the help window for explaining the function, is improved.
