<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enter an artist name in an artist name list as the same artist name even when the character string of the artist name given to a music file is different from that of the artist name to be entered in spite of the same artist name. <P>SOLUTION: A character string corresponding to the predetermined number of characters from the top of the character string of each artist name is extracted. Each artist name of which the character string corresponding to the predetermined number of characters from the head is common to the extracted one is regarded as the same artist name and integrated as a display artist name and an artist name list including integrated display artist names is generated.
