<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily achieve a configuration for analyzing the mounting state of a reader body and performing appropriate processing, in an optical information reader for reading optical information in a state where the reader body is mounted on a stand. <P>SOLUTION: The optical information reader 1 can read the optical information via an opening with the reader body 2 in the state where the reader body 2 is mounted on the stand 10. The stand 10 has a mark of a predetermined shape on its bottom.
