<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst temperature distribution estimation device, method, and program for estimating temperature distribution without increasing computer processing burden with heat transfer in a catalyst taken into account. <P>SOLUTION: As a result of gas transfer, (i) heat transfer from exhaust gas to a catalyst wall 12 through a boundary layer, (ii) heat transfer based on internal temperature difference of the catalyst wall 12, and (iii) heat transfer based on reaction heat of oxidation/reduction reaction on the catalyst wall 12 are cited as heat transfer phenomena which occur at the catalyst wall 12. Consequently, three characteristics equations corresponding to the heat transfer phenomena (i)-(iii) are set respectively, and the characteristic equations are operated in order assuming that the phenomena continuously occur in an imaginary time t<SP>*</SP>. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
