<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chair which permits a backrest to be supported by a simple structure without causing compulsion and comfortably to sit on without using an expensive means such as ball joints. <P>SOLUTION: In the supporting structure of the backrest in the chair wherein both sides of the rear of the elastically deformable backrest 6 are supported on both sides of the upper end of a backrest supporting rod 9 rising from behind a seat, the tip of a convex shaft 13 projectingly provided in the front of the upper end of the backrest supporting rod 9 is engaged with a receiving hole 14 provided in the rear of the side of the backrest 6, a retaining pin 17 roughly facing from left to right which fastens both its ends to the backrest 6 is loosely fitted into a shaft hole 15 roughly facing from left to right which is provided at the tip of the convex shaft 13, permitting the backrest 6 to rotate around the axis roughly facing from left to right and to rotate by a prescribed angle in the direction deviating from the axis. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
