ADHESION OVERLAY METHOD FOR EXISTING CONCRETE PAVEMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adhesion overlay method for the existing concrete pavement high in bond strength between existing concrete and a cement mixture and excelling in cost and construction time. SOLUTION: The overlay method includes forming a rugged surface on the surface C1 of an existing structure C through shot blasting, applying an adhesive R on the rugged surface, and laying new concrete thereon to lay the cement mixture integrally on the existing concrete. An epoxy adhesive is used as the adhesive R, and the cement mixture is laid under the conditions that the applied amount to the rugged surface is 0.4 kg/m2or more. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
