<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet folding device capable of reliably and forcibly giving a fold and adequately conveying a sheet, and an image forming device having the same. Ž<P>SOLUTION: Based on the detection signal from a detection sensor 28A, an additional folding roller 24A is moved so as to be in contact with an additional folding roller 24B while holding a sheet S folded by a nip part. Successively, folding roller pairs 23A, 23B are driven in the reverse direction to each other, and the folded sheet S is conveyed in the reverse direction I. Due to the reverse conveyance, a folded portion at a fore end of the folded sheet S is subjected to the drawing action from the nip position of the additional folding roller pairs 24A, 24B. At the same time, the additional folding roller pairs 24A, 24B are arranged diagonally to the sheet conveying direction C, and the folded portion of the sheet S is subjected to the gradual drawing action from an end face at the nip position of the additional folding roller pairs 24A, 24B.
