PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power supply system which supplies electric power selectively to an apparatus. SOLUTION: An electric power transmitter originates a search wave for searching whether an electric power receiver becoming an object of electric power supply exists in a predetermined range, and the electric power receiver transmits specific information for specifying the electric power receiver upon receiving the search wave. The electric power transmitter decides whether the electric power receiver corresponding to the specific information is the object of electric power supply, based on the specific information thus received, transmits frequency information indicating a resonance frequency which resonates to an electromagnetic field for transmitting power to an electric power receiver which is decided as the object of electric power supply, and switches the resonance frequency of a resonator of itself based on the frequency information. The electric power receiver switches the resonance frequency of a resonator of itself based on the frequency information thus received, the electric power transmitter generates an electromagnetic field by using the resonator, and the electric power receiver generates an electromagnetic field by using the resonator.
