PURPOSE: A neighbor information providing method and a neighbor position information generation method for reducing overhead in a multi hop communication system are provided to reduce handover delay and reduce time and power in a mobile communication station. CONSTITUTION: A neighbor information providing method being performed in wireless communication network is as follows. A base station or a repeater station broadcasts the neighbor notify message in the wireless communication network(S1210). The neighbor information message toward the node of an abnormal is created in the base station or the repeater station takes counsel with the wireless communication network. The neighbor information message in which the base station or the repeater station produces about a node is transmitted with each node(S1220).
