The plate (10) has a lower surface (14), and an upper surface (12) including hemispherical reinforcements or troughs (16) towards interior, where the plate is realized by methyl methacrylate polymer. Size of the troughs or reinforcements is increased from an end to another end of the plate. Recesses are located at a level of the former end, and a light source e.g. LED, is predisposed at an interior of the recesses. An independent claim is also included for a lighting device comprising a light transmission plate.
