PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device which performs cover flow display of a plurality of contents without increasing a memory use amount.

SOLUTION: This image display device which is an image display device for performing sequentially cover flow display of the predetermined number of images of a plurality of input image data is provided with: an image data selection part which updates in synchronization with progression of the cover flow display in the image display device according to the cover flow display method set up beforehand, and selects the predetermined number of image data from a plurality of input image data; a decoding part which decodes the selected image data; a scaling part which changes resolution of decoded image data in synchronization with the cover flow display and performs scaling; and a storage means which stores the image data which is subjected to scaling by the scaling part. A cover flow display image is synthesized and displayed based on the image data stored by the storage means.
