PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently identify nonlinear distortion caused by the nonlinearity of elements constituting an analog circuit. SOLUTION: This distortion identification device includes a signal output controller, a data extractor, a distortion identifier, and a distortion calculator. The output controller inputs a reference signal into a digitizer, with the frequency of the signal changing once every prescribed measurement cycle. The data extractor extracts groups of data the number of which corresponds to an integral multiple of the period of the reference signal in each measurement cycle from data acquired after a prescribed waiting period has passed from the starting time of each measurement cycle among data on a reference digital signal outputted by the digitizer according to the reference signal. The distortion identifier calculates nonlinear distortion arising in the digitizer on a frequency-by-frequency basis of the reference signal based on data in each measurement cycle extracted by the extractor. The distortion calculator calculates nonlinear distortion arising in the digitizer based on a frequency-by-frequency nonlinear distortion detected by the distortion identifier in cases where an analog signal of a frequency different from a plurality of frequencies with the reference signal fluctuated is inputted into the digitizer.
