PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat structure of a stacking chair capable of being stacked in the vertical direction to be stored, capable of significantly improving comfort and capable of keeping the height of the stacked chairs low if 40 chairs are stacked by reducing the thickness of a seat part of the chair. SOLUTION: The stacking chair has approximately horizontal seat support rods 17 on both sides of a leg frame 1, and connection rods 12 and 13 are laid between front and rear ends of the respective seat support rods 17. The seat part 2 is attached by using the seat support rods and the connection rods. Support fittings 23 are fixed with prescribed space along the inner side of the respective seat support rods. The connection rod is formed as a flat plate, and the seat part is composed of a bending shell 5 and a seat body 6. Recess grooves 26 formed on both sides of the bending shell are engaged with the support fittings from above, and the lower surface of the seat part is mounted and screwed on the front and rear connection rods. The seat body is attached to the upper surface of the bending shell. With this structure, the thickness of the seat part is kept within the vertical dimensions of the seat support rods.
