The invention relates to textile industry, in particular, to a process of finishing chemical treatment of textile materials and to production of water-resistant fabric. The invention is aimed at designing water-resistant fabric with improved qualitative features. Yet it is desirable to shorten technological cycles, and, consequently, to reduction in price cost compared to known processes. According to the known water-resistant fabric a hydrophobic substance is incorporated into fabric mass, wherein a film is applied on the fabric in the form of a paste with partial penetration into the fabric mass and polymerized, the film is 1÷25 mkm thick. The inventive task is characterized in that the fabric is impregnated by a hydrophobic compound at concentration 10-80 g/dm, at pH 4.0-6.5, dried at 100-120°C, the fabric is coated with acrylic or polyurethane paste using air spreader, wherein pH 6.5-9.5 of the paste is supported by adding an alkali agent, dry with the paste polymerization in a tenter drier at 160-170°C during 30-40 sec. There are some other differences from the prototype. Quality features: convenience, use of water-based pastes (provides safety at production),a short chain of treatment, stability to washing, enabling to ensure plastic properties from soft to rigid, high vapor permeability (5-8 mg/cm∙hr compared to rated at least 3.5 mg/cm∙hr), high water-resisting property (without film – up to 200 mm of water column, film-coated – from 700 to 1500 mm of water column). The reduction in cost price is stipulated by a comparatively low cost of materials in use and simplicity and stability of quality of the technological process. |
