SILANE COUPLING AGENT, METHOD FOR MODIFYING CYCLIC OLEFIN POLYMER BY USING THE SAME, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING ORGANOSILICON COMPOUND

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silane coupling agent improving adhesiveness of a cyclic olefin polymer to an inorganic material, to provide a method for modifying the cyclic olefin polymer, and to provide a method for producing an organosilicon compound.

SOLUTION: The silane coupling agent for the cyclic olefin polymer comprises an organosilicon compound represented by general formula (1) (wherein, R1and R2are each a 1-10C substituted or nonsubstituted monovalent hydrocarbon group, and may be the same or different; and n is an integer of 0-2). The adhesiveness of the inorganic material to the cyclic olefin polymer is drastically improved by using the inorganic material treated with the silane coupling agent to improve mechanical characteristics and heat resistance of the inorganic material-reinforced cyclic olefin polymer.
