<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrict a range for reliable estimation using a small computation amount when an estimation polynomial is used to estimate a state quantity or the like. <P>SOLUTION: An estimation device is provided with: a compound determination index storage unit 6 for previously storing a value with a restricted compound term composed of a combination of multiple input parameters as a compound determination index indicative of a reliable range for output parameter estimation; a polynomial estimation computing unit 2 for using the estimation polynomial to estimate an output parameter from the input parameter; a compound determination unit 7 for determining whether or not a value of a compound term computed from the input parameter input into the polynomial estimation computing unit 2 is within a range restricted by a compound determination index and thereby determining whether or not the estimation for the output parameter is reliable; and a determination result output unit 8 for outputting a determination result of the compound determination unit 7. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
