PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for a tire being excellent in low heat generation property (tanδ) and being excellent in breaking strength. SOLUTION: The rubber composition for the tire contains (B) 5-80 pts.mass of silica relative to (A) 100 pts.mass of the rubber component containing 10-60 mass% of a butadiene rubber containing 2.5-20 mass% of 1, 2-syndiotactic polybutadiene crystal (a), 5-60 mass% of a modified butadiene rubber (b), and 20-75 mass% of diene based rubber (c) other than (a) and (b).
