PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To permit the position of a seat body to be easily adjusted by simultaneously and smoothly engaging and disengaging engagement portions with and from engaged portions provided on the right and left, respectively by a single operating lever without complicating the structure. SOLUTION: A seat support 6 is provided with a pair of right and left rail portions 13 facing from front to rear, each of the rail portions 13 is provided with a plurality of engaged portions 16e to ensure that the engagement direction of a seat body 7 with the engagement portion 26a faces the same direction of rightward or leftward. An adjustment rod 22 facing from left to right which is attached to the underside of the seat body 7 rightward and leftward movably is provided with a pair of right and left engagement portions 26a which are permitted to engage with and disengage from one of the engaged portions 16e in the right and left rail portions 13. The chair permits the pair of right and left engagement portions 26a to be engaged with and disengaged from the engaged portions 16e simultaneously by moving the adjustment rod 22 rightward and leftward.
