PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical unit with a shake correcting function for rapidly correcting shake around an X-axis and shake around a Y-axis even when a magnetic drive mechanism for shake correction is not made large. SOLUTION: In the optical unit with the shake correcting function 200, a drawing-out direction of a flexible board 300 is restricted to a Y-axis direction, and magnetic driving force of a first magnetic drive mechanism for camera shake correction 250x is made larger than that of a second magnetic drive mechanism for camera shake correction 250y considering an actual condition when the optical unit 200 with a shake correcting function is mounted in such equipment as a cellular phone with a camera. Therefore, the shake around the X-axis in which camera shake is apt to occur when depressing a shutter is rapidly corrected, so that a mistake in photography caused by the camera shake is surely prevented.
