PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to easily compare each of properties in each of different metadata specifications.

SOLUTION: An apparatus has an acquiring means for acquiring property information as metadata from image data storing the metadata of a plurality of metadata specifications, and a display processing means for displaying the property information of the plurality of metadata specifications acquired by the acquiring means on the same screen in association with items of the property information.
