<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video game console allowing operation hardly affected by accidental error in the contents detected by a motion sensor, when using the motion sensor such as a gyroscopic sensor, and to provide a game program. <P>SOLUTION: An operation data-obtaining section obtains operation data including at least motion data being data indicating the motion of a predetermined input device itself, from the input device. A motion change-calculating section calculates a change in motion of the input device itself during a predetermined period of time based on the motion data. A position/posture-calculating section calculates the position and posture of a player object in a virtual game space. A contact degree-calculating section calculates contact degree indicating the contact degree between the player object and a field object in the virtual game space.
