<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a closely sealed decomposing apparatus so as to directly support a catalyst on a heating means, be resistant to any gases containing steam of offensive odor, and deodorize odor by inexpensive oxidative decomposition in a simple process. <P>SOLUTION: The deodorizing apparatus includes a planar ceramic heater 9 that supports a catalyst component 1 formed of platinum, palladium or the like and a body 6 provided with a bottom plate 11 that has an inflow pipe 4 and an outflow pipe 5 and has the side of the electrode section 10 of the ceramic heater 9 fixed thereto, wherein the circumference of the body 6 is covered with an insulator 13, a plurality of metal- or ceramic-made catalyst fins 2 with a plurality of holes are attached to the surface of the ceramic heater 9, and the supporting of the catalyst component 1 on the ceramic heater 9, brazing 14 of the ceramic heater 9 to the bottom plate 11 and brazing 14 of the box 6, inflow pipe 4, and outflow pipe 5 are simultaneously performed in a furnace under a nitrogen gas neutralizing atmosphere by heating the same at a high temperature. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
